Teaching

I am an experienced educator and educational consultant. My work at the London School of Economics and the University of Birmingham has seen me leading classes and designing courses around historical skills, military history, and the First World War at both undergraduate and masters levels.

In 2022-23 I also co-ordinated (and helped to design) Birmingham's MA in First World War Studies, which was delivered at the National Army Museum.

In my previous roles, I worked as a learning developer and on LSE100 (and interdisciplinary social science course). During this time, I became familiar with course design, flipped learning, experiential and collaborative learning, innovative assessment practice, and the development of students' digital skills.

Beyond academia, I have consulted a variety of organisations on their pedagogical offerings (especially around student learning journeys), and most significantly developed a pre-university programme for 16-18 years olds focussed on sustainability and study skills. It is now running for its second year.
